Solar Eclipse A trailer completed for the 48 Hour Film Challenge for MoFest 3 in Chicago, IL. We were given three lines of dialogue... "What the hell we supposed to do, yah moron?" "When you're 3, gasoline doesn't taste that bad." "Don't you be grabbing into my birthday purse." We were also given two props we had to incorporate... a tusk/horn and an abacus. The last condition was a single word or phrase that had to signify our film as a whole... we were assigned "solar eclipse." Beyond the Blood: Tales from the Making of The Evil Dead V2 Beyond the Blood aired as a segment on SIU's student produced magazine show "alt.news 26:46." This short doc focuses on Tom Sullivan's special effects and production design work on the cult classic "The Evil Dead." It features interviews with the cast and crew, and film critics from WGN Radio and Ain't It Cool News. I directed, edited, lit, and produced with help from Jay Neander and Jared Kagel. I'm working on a 30 min. version for 2007. This is the second version of the piece that aired on alt.news.
