This Video was originally an Iron Chef Video for my Battle against Scott Green. I won the match btw, and seriously..I don't think I could have ended up with a better anime than Cowboy bebop to edit a song like this. After getting bugged by Scott and Emong, I decided to turn this into a full Video. In this Video, I tried different types of editing, sliding from standart beat synch over internal synch to lyrical synch, but the main point for me was to hit the mood and feeling of the song. It was quite an interesting editing experience especially with not having edited to any similiar music before and actually not even having seen any video to similiar music yet. Anyway, I hope you enjoy watching just as much as I enjoyed editing the Video. Nothing more! What´s the live action source? The one is "Casshern", the most expensive live action movie based on a manga and the second one is "Dopplehertz" a film by Marilyn Manson. You can found the second one on the "Golden Age of Grotesque" CD as bonus disc. Any techincal details? -There is a use of live action material in it. The majority is anime and only one segment is completly live action. I don´t think that this is a problem for amv fans, because the segment doesn´t sting out as live action source. -Be aware that there is a lot of experimental stuff in it. I think that fans of traditional action amvs will only have theire fun in 2 seconds. -I don´t recommend this amv for people under the age of 16 or 13 at least. Anything I can do to better understand this video? -Deus Machina is latin and means: God Machine. -It´s good to know what the core plot of the movie The Matrix and the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion + Raxephon are. -To completly understand the segment (but it´s not necessary) "Reign" in this amv, you should watch "Animatrix - The second Renesaince".
