Karma Mark Scene 6 **WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY!!** 2nd Rough Cut of scene 6 from the lost Karma Mark project. One of three scenes I submitted at the end of the semester and the only remaining copy of the cut. It remains without effects, music, or proper color correction, but still shows a glimpse of what the final project will once be like. Featuring James Waller and Brittney McLaughlin. Written by Dave Boostrom. Sorry it's kind of stretchy in all directions. It was never formatted for youtube. **WATCH IN HIGH QUALITY!!** Tags: Karma Fight Yell Drama Brittney James UWM Illinois |

O+ Made in 2003 for my Basic Filmmaking handmade film class project. "O+" or O Positive for the type of blood I used. This film is aseptic blood (from the UWM Science Department!) mixed with a flexible acrylic gloss medium to keep from oxidizing and flaking off in the projector, "painted" onto 16mm clear leader. Some of the blood had already flaked off by the time I got it digitized. The film played silent, but watching it on a large screen is much more interesting than on a tiny Youtube window, so I cut it to music for flavor. Murder by Numbers My second movie shot on film ever. It's 16mm and our first time using sound. It was for my basic 2 film class. I think what happened here was I planned to shoot something different and it didn't turn out, so instead I just shot whatever with no plan in mind, edited it together, and wrote a story around it. Needless today, it kind of sucks. At least it looks cool because of the film grain. And hey, all those lines and dust spots are real! Tags: 16mm film black and white uwm dominoes dolls murder |

Pom, Beautiful inside and out Boiling Sky (which I am part of) submitted this as our Pom Tea commercial for the contest. We shot, edited, and scored over two days. I did all the After Effects sweetening work: the movie theater flicker, the change in depth of field, the overall look. Music put together using Cinescore. Nomad Locomotion My very very first After Effects project made when I literally didn't even know how to make a new composition in the program. It turned out alright, but you'd never know how much painstakingly tedious work went into making that simple animation. For a typography class, 2004. Kim Huston Editing Demo Reel This is a demo reel for Kim Huston. I have mostly short films and no corporate video examples for the reel, but I think the segments I used display skills that can be applied to any type of editing, whether corporate, narrative, or experimental. **Soon to be updated as soon as the editing machine comes back from the shop! A DVD is available of this reel upon request. Tags: Editing Demo Reel Kim Huston UWM Edit Hula Horror Comedy Chroma Key Green Screen Color Correct |

Slug Bug Basic Video project for UWM. A goofy documentation of my own description and personal experience with the game Slug Bug. I'll probably re-record the VO one day as you can hear me spittin' on the mic quite often. Not the best compression in the world either. 2004. Three Little Bruins Get into Mischief Class project of basic animation. The exposure of the 2d and 3d stuff isn't so hot. And the 2d is off-center. I still really like the first part though. Puttin' it up just to have everything together. Collaboration with: Cedric Ranada and Adam Leistico. Tags: Rotoscope Bears animation stop motion 2d |

Interval Library A project made for UWM: shoot something to do with intervals in the library. I chose the moving stacks in the basement. You press a button and they slowly go along a track to open up. It was sort of a "What happens after hours" type of thing... kinda. If I had to give a reason for the goings on. 2004. The Land of Beginning Again Final Project After Effects We had to use audio from a cd of Dion McGregor. It's all audio of him talking in his sleep. (This looks better if you chose the smaller frame size for it) Tags: After Effects Dion McGregor Sleepwalk Animation |
