Govt Mule plays in Traffic- Empty Pages - 7/23/08 - Englewood, NJ Warren and Mule do Traffic's Empty Pages. Sounded great. All 4 of em. Dannys keys were luscious. Warren hasnt missed a note in 10 years. Too bad about the loudmouth assholes who would not stop talking in the row in front of us. Which, subsequently led to EVERYONE in the row clearing out because these 5 morons would NOT STOP TALKING. I mean EVERY SONG. People were fleeing from these dudes. So you may hear em now and then from this show.I hope they see this and realize what douchebags they were. Aside from that, the venue holds 1000 people- seemed like there were 500 in attendance- its an old movie theater in New Jersey that is now called the Bergen Performing Arts Center. Sound was better than expected, and Govt Mule rocked, as usual. Tags: Govt Mule Warren Haynes Traffic Empty Pages Steve Winwood Guitar Rock Live Concert Englewood New Jersey |

2008 MLB All Star Home Run Derby- The Josh Hamilton Show- Yankee Stadium My footage from the first and last Home Run Derby at Yankee Stadium in its final season, with the nice Bobby Murcer tribute, various baloney, good bleacher creature vocals, boos of Ortiz, Boston sucks, a-hole,etc, and of course the Josh Hamilton explosion of 9,446 home runs in the first round. Great Movie Scenes 1 of 50 - The Good,The Bad and The Ugly Simply the #1 scene put down on film in the history of cinema- in MY opinion. The cinematography, acting, and music all come together into one big dramatic explosion. The filming by Sergio Leone is as good as it gets, the score- by Ennio Morricone is simply phenomenal. And of course, Clint, Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach are all dead-on in their roles during the standoff. There are a thousand great movie scenes out there, but I think this one is the one that has inspired many a film and scene alike in years afterward. Grateful Dead - Truckin' - 9/20/90 - MSG, NY If you never got to see the Grateful Dead live, well, heres a real good feel for what it was like. Just an explosive truckin from the worlds greatest band, as they fed off the raucous and hungry Garden crowd. I was in the 5th row for this one, which was the last night of the brilliant 6 night run on the fall tour immediately following Brent's death. I believe this was the best post Brent-show by far. Simply explosive. Check out Mickey at roughly the 5:47 mark. Just jammin! And then it blends seamlessly into China Cat. This is straight from the original videotape. No cuts or edits of any kind- No justice is done to this if you put the SBD over it. Its got the full original audio so as to feel the atmosphere of that pumped up crowd. The Beast of the East. Here is the setlist from just the 2nd of this great night: Truckin China Cat I Know You Rider Women Are Smarter Drums Space Dark Star Playin Reprise Dark Star Throwing Stones Touch of Grey E- Lovelight Tags: Grateful Dead Truckin Jerry Garcia Bob Weir Phil Lesh Live Rock Guitar Music MSG New York Fall 1990 Electric |

Govt Mule - Morning Dew - New Years 2008 - Beacon Theater In the middle of their most memorable 2nd set on this New Years Eve, where they covered songs from 1967 for their "Winter Of Love" theme, a GD staple was inevitable, as they played a solid and sweet Morning Dew. Each song that was played was accompanied on the screen by images of the band, in this case plenty of Jerry and the boys. Its missing a little under 2 mins in the middle. Govt Mule AfterParty w/George Porter-HonkyTonkWoman 12/29/07 This gig started at 1:30 am at the Blender Theater labeled as an after-show party celebrating legendary N'Owlins bassist George Porter Jr's 60th birthday. Porter's band, Porter Batiste Stoltz played for about an hour till they were joined by the Mule (all but Matt). And for this number, it was just Warren with Danny on keys. Andy played afterwards. Warren even played DRUMS later on. Vid of that to come. Porter plays that bass like not many others do. Fat sound. Whomp. Happened to be with my bud DJ at quite the vantage point for this. This was a sick gig and quite intimate, Great stuff to hear at 3am here in the BIG APPLE!!!!! Govt Mule Zeppelin- How Many More Years-12/28/07- Beacon NYC The security at the Beacon Theater since the new mgmt took over has displayed quite the Gestapo tactics. Therefore, i couldnt film as steady and higher up i usually do. The sound was phenomenal, and the vid is quite decent and tolerable, as Haynes tore the roof off as he played a smoldering cover of How Many More Years. It simply rocked. They could have just come out ,played this one song and walked off the stage and we all would have been quite happy. A smidge of Wang Dang Doodle was placed inside the tune. The place explodes in the last 30 secs of this vid, and then the obsessed security guy shut me down again. Great show. Gonna be a great New Years run, as usual! USC's OJ Mayo Alley Oop vs Memphis Tigers- 12/4/07-MSG Super freshman guard, OJ Mayo, who is projected to be a top 3 pick in next years NBA draft, receives a pass at the top of the key and delivers the alley-oop pass to Davon Jefferson at Madison Square Garden vs Memphis. This brought the house down. Lucky I caught it. This was the 2nd game of the Jim Valvano Classic, played annually at MSG, as #24 ranked USC faced the #2 team in the nation, and possibly the best team, the Memphis Tigers. Memphis won the game 62-58 in overtime. Shot from our courtside seats. This kid is going to be real good. Grateful Dead - The Supreme Audio - Deal - 7/8/78 -Red Rocks Another stellar recording from the night of 7/8/78 where the performance was A+, and the recording was even better. Jerry's voice is unbelievable, as is the playing. Obviously there are 'better' played Deals- i think a number of them(See 1981,1983), but this one scorches. Just listen to it. Check out at the 5:50 mark where it sounds like Donna is shrieking in horror :) "Thank you- we're gonna take a short break we'll be back in a few minutes, so everybody hang loose, you may feel free once again to talk amongst each other" Tags: Grateful Dead Red Rocks 1978 Audio Deal Recording Jerry Garcia Bob Weir Phil Lesh Donna Godchaux |

Bob Weir & Ratdog- Lost Sailor - 3/8/07 - Beacon Theater NYC Taken from the 3rd row on this night at the Beacon Theatre here in NYC, Bobby and his buddies do a Sailor-Saint. Bob looks directly into me at roughly 4:40, just as he sung "I guess theres a price for being, Free!" Not enough space to put the Saint, obviously. A tad shaky at the beginning as i tried to get a good spot to shoot, then some talking dummies and people moving between 3 and 4 min mark, but then i move up a row, and the whole thing sounds and looks better from the 4min mark on out.
