Our Farewell AU. Um, this is pretty much another video about Lily Potter, except this has to do with her and Harry. Lily is in purgatory. She can't stay and be a ghost, but she can't quite let go of Harry either. So she's stuck in a world that walks alongside Harry's, but never allows her to cross into it. She has to watch everything he does, but can't do anything about it. What can I say? This video is weird, but really kind of sad. I'm not sure I like it yet. I'm kinda partial to the ending though. Have You Ever Trailer PygmyPuff20 made a Tom/Hermione video after a fanfiction she read called Have You Ever. The video was delightful, and I decided to read the fanfiction on which it was based. I'll be completely honest when I say it is possibly the best fanfiction I have ever read...even better than some regular fiction novels that I've read. Lady Moonglow had me laughing, crying, and on the edge of my seat in a novel that completely and totally enraptured me. So, of course, I just had to make a trailer for it (and I also kind of consider this a trailer for PygmyPuff20's video). I just hope I somewhat captured the essence of the story, did it justice, or at least made somebody out there interested enough to read Lady Moonglow's story. I thought I might add a brief description of the novel to give you an idea what it is about. Dumbledore, out of ideas and very nearly hope, decides to send Hermione, Harry, Ron, Ginny, Lavender, and Draco back into the past to either kill or divert Tom Riddle before he gets a chance to become Voldemort. Hermione, through a rather funny turn of events, is appointed Head Girl next to Tom Riddle's Head Boy, and is therefore assigned the task of finding out as much information on the future Dark Lord. After a rough start, Hermione starts to realize there is more to Tom Riddle than pure evil. I guess I should also mention that there is a curse upon Tom Riddle that will kill him should he ever fall in love. I'll let you discover the rest for yourself. Trust On Love Trailer Please read this first! :-D Youtube user Lystral and I got into a conversation about a fanfic she had written about Lucius's secret daughter, Morisa Shynn Malfoy. To be honest, I never got to read the story, because it is not online (or else I'd definitely have a link up), but decided to make a fanvideo on it anyway, solely based on the idea. Unfortunally, I messed up a few big plot points, and took some liberties with her story. To Lystral, I apologize for my mistakes. However, I won't lie, I really like how this video came out, especially with it being my first trailer. So here's some basics on the storyline I created off of Lystral's idea to get you caught up. It's an AU video, set either in the seventh year of Hogwarts or shortly thereafter. Morisa Shynn Malfoy shows up at the Malfoy Mansion claiming to be the daughter of Lucius, born of an affair around the same time as Draco. As time passes, she infiltrates the Malfoy family. Lucius pretends to be ashamed of her, but secretly loves her. Draco, despite his best efforts, comes to trust and even love his sister (NOT in an incestuous way either). Narcissa, however, hates Morisa with a passion, as she is a constant reminder of her husband's affair. That's when Morisa's secret comes to light: she is dating and in love with Harry Potter. The Malfoys know that if Lord Voldemort finds out, he will kill Morisa. Draco and Lucius go to great lengths to keep her a secret, even going as far as to befriend Harry to keep Morisa safe. But Narcissa's jealousy wins out and she tells You-Know-Who about Lucius's illegitimate daughter. And that's when the shibby hits the fan. It's All Coming Back To Me Now This a video about Lily and Petunia, but in order to get the full story, please read this first. :-D UPDATE! It could probably be watched without an explanation, but for those of you that like backstories...here ya go: ::takes a deep breath:: For starters, I was re-reading OotP, and made it only through the first couple chapters before I had to stop and do this. I kept thinking about how strange Petunia was acting, especially after Dumbledore's Howler. J.K. has said that Petunia has no magical powers and never will...so how in the world does she know about the magical world if she and Lily did not get along, and presumably didn't talk about such things. One radical idea that I had was that possibly Petunia and Lily were extremely close, even after Lily was accepted to Hogwarts. It was only after her death that Petunia went somewhat mental, rewiring her brain to focus on all the negative aspects of their relationship, in order for her to accept the death more easily. Essentially, Petunia made herself believe that she hated Lily so she didn't have to deal with her feelings of loss. This could also explain why she hates Harry so much, because he is a constant reminder of her demented past. I know this is a crazy theory, but it gave me the idea for this vid, so there you go. Now to the story in the video: Petunia gets Dumbledore's Howler, and is forced to face reality...her sister is dead. The beginning part is the Spirit of Lily comforting Petunia, trying to remind her of the happier times, but Petunia wakes and there is no one there, causing her to doubt if there was anyone in the first place. So after some flashbacks and flash-forwards, typical look-how-happy-we-were stuff, it finally gets to the last few weeks of Lily's life. While visiting each other, Lily is attacked by a dementor -- which Remus gets rid of -- and makes Petunia (who can't see it) freak out. Later she starts yelling at Lily, telling her to give up the fight against Voldemort. When Lily refuses, Petunia freaks out again and starts beating the crap out of Lily, not to hurt her, but just to release her frustrations and fears. They make up, but it's very strained. Tragically, before they can truly forgive each other, Lily is killed. Petunia is devastated, and that is when she rewires her brain. Presto- chango -- Harry is dropped off on her doorstep and Petunia vows to hate him -- like she thinks she hated his mother. Years later she receives Dumbledore's Howler and suddenly, "It's all coming back to (her) now." ::exhales loudly:: Young Lily - Lora Anne Criswell Young Petunia - Camilla Belle Twenty-something Lily -- Nicole Kidman Twenty-something Petunia -- Sandra Bullock Older Lily -- Geraldine Somerville Older Petunia -- Fiona Shaw Harry Potter -- Daniel Radcliffe Clips used from the Harry Potter movies and Practical Magic. She'll Do Right Now This is a anti-H/Hr, anti-R/Hr, anti-K/Hr, and anti-D/Hr. My brother stuck headphones on my head during Easter and said, "Do this." I had heard the song, "Right Now" by SR-71, but had no idea how to go about making a video to it. I thought about making it R/Hr, but started off making it H/Hr, so I just gave in and made it a total anti-Hermione video. The story is the boys think Hermione's a good catch while they're at Hogwarts, but she's too high maintenance to last long. I don't have anything against Hermione, I was just working with what I had. Losing My Religion This vid centers around Harry dealing with Cedric's death. It starts off at the funeral part in GoF, and I think of it as Harry getting flashes of memories during the service. So the bits are quite random, and some are repeated, because I know that when something traumatic happens to me, I keep replaying the worst moments over and over again in my head. Run Harry Run Ginny Malfoy gets pregnant with Harry Potter's baby. Lucius is pissed. AU. NOTE!!!!! AU stands for Alternate Universe, which means it doesn't happen in the books and never will. It means I am taking liberties with the characters created by J.K. Rowling. I made Ginny a Malfoy in this video because I could never see Arthur being completely evil like the song needed. So it is, in fact, Ginny Malfoy, as in the only child and daughter of Lucius Malfoy, simply because I say so. Don't take it seriously, I don't actually think this happened or ever will. It's all in good fun and frankly keeps me from being bored creating the same canon videos over and over again. Once again, don't get pissed off because the characters aren't canon (like they are in the books)...because no one says fanfiction and fan made videos have to be canon. Hell, that's what makes it HP interesting. Even J.K. encourages this sort of stuff and lets her fans take liberties with her characters. And it is literally everywhere. Google Harry Potter fanfiction, look up other AU videos, (or even canon vids which are usually fantastic) on Youtube, you can easily get lost in it. I Feel Fine I'm pretty sure this is the first Oliver/Hermione music video. I always loved the line in the third book, "Wood looked as though he could have kissed her", so I decided to build a video around that. I set it up in silent movie format, and I used quotes from PoA (the book) and Dumb and Dumber to tell their story. I tried to make the whole thing in black and white to keep with the silent movie theme, but WMM and I had a disagreement and she refused to cooperate, so the vid miraculously switches to color during Oliver's scenes. ::shrugs shoulders:: Anywho, the song is "I Feel Fine" by the one and only Beatles because I have a sad obsession, and the song doesn't really have anything to do with the vid other than it's fun and upbeat. Lion This is a friendship vid between Harry and Hermione. (It can be viewed as a ship vid for those of you that ship H/Hr, but it wasn't my initial intent.)
