Miditzer Wurlitzer Theater Pipe Organ Simulator Program Demo Demo Video I made of a free program I downloaded called The "Miditzer" which is a MIDI based pipe organ simulator and the graphics interface is modeled after the well known Wurlitzer Theater Pipe Organ console. This particular version is the Miditzer 216, Version 0881 using the Miditzer Cinema soundfonts that came with the free download. This program will allow you to play a few of the keys on the organ with your PC keyboard, but there is not too much you can with just the PC keyboard. This program is designed to be used with a couple of full size MIDI compatible music keyboards and there is even a full size foot pedal assembly available to play the deep sub bass notes just like on a real pipe organ. I down loaded this free program from http://www.virtualorgan.com/Default.asp?Page=64 The main Miditzer web page is on http://www.virtualorgan.com/Default.asp where you can read a lot more information about this program. There are hundreds of program settings, MIDI settings and parameters such as reverb affects and other special affects. Anyway, it sure resembles the sound of a typical church pipe organ! I used to read music when I played the Tuba back in high school band, but, that has been years ago! With a full size MIDI keyboard and this program, I may be motivated to learn to learn to read music again. That would be cool to play some of JS Bach's organ classics and other stuff on a keyboard with the Miditzer! Anyway. for a free program, I think it is a sweet deal! That song melody I was attempting to play on my PC keyboard with one finger is called "In Dulci Jubilo", which is a German Christmas song. JS Bach wrote a choral prelude around that song written for organ. (BWV 729) This is the second time I have up loaded this video due to a bad audio track on the first upload and the problem with the audio has been fixed, although the audio is slightly out of sync with the video track. I also have a MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/ki7f Tags: Miditzer Pipe Organ MIDI Music Simulator Keyboard Musical Instrument Computer music |

Amtrak California Zephyr Train trip part 2 This video starts with a short clip showing me using my laptop computer on the train and some video taken of scenery out the train window while passing through the Rocky Mountain region between Denver and Winter Park, Colorado on my trip from Denver, Co. to Provo, Utah. You can see many dried up and dead pine trees out the window of the train in this video which is sadly caused by the pine beetle infestation. I am still planning to get part 3 produced from this segment of the trip. The camera I used was a Sony DSC-H2 digital still camera used in MPEG video mode. You can view photos of some of my Amtrak train trips I posted at Webshots at http://community.webshots.com/user/ki7f2 and my MySpace page is at http://www.myspace.com/ki7f(less) Tags: Amtrak train railroad Rockies Rocky Mountains California Zephyr |

Amtrak California Zephyr Train trip part 1 I made this video on board the Amtrak California Zephyr line train No. 5 during a Westbound trip from Denver, Colorado to Provo, Utah. (The Amtrak California Zephyr train route is between Chicago and San Francisco and crosses the Rocky Mountain range.) This video (Part 1) that I made is a mainly a walk through tour in the coach class section inside the train, including the lounge car. I noticed that they now have tables installed in the upper level of the lounge car. Part 2 video is mainly of video taken out the window of scenery up in the Rocky Mountain range shortly after the train left Denver. The camera I used was a Sony DSC-H2 digital still camera used in MPEG video mode. Remedy Drive in concert at Calvary Chapel of Aurora, Co. Christian rock band "Remedy Drive" live in concert at Calvary Chapel of Aurora, Colorado here in the Denver area back in February of 2007. This is a short three minute sample recording taken with my Sony DSC-H2 digital still camera in MPEG video mode. Due to lighting conditions, the camera had problems staying focused and I had to brighten up the video as it was too dark, so the contrast is not the greatest and the sound quality is not the greatest either due to overload caused by the sheer loudness of the band! The band was playing one of their songs called 'Break'. By the way, these boys really know how to sing great harmonies! Remedy Drive's official website is at http://www.remedydrive.com/ and Calvary Chapel of Aurora website is at http://www.calvaryaurora.org/ God Bless ya all! Ham Radio Operator KI7F checks Into a Denver 2 mtr FM net I am Bill Wolverton and one of my hobbies is Amateur Radio (Ham Radio) and my FCC issued ham radio call sign is KI7F. I first became an amateur radio operator back in 1967 when I was still in high school.I had world wide global communications back in those days with out wires or the internet, just radio! This is a video of me Using my Icom 2000H 2 meter FM transceiver to check into the weekly 9 AM Sunday morning Colorado Repeater Association (CRA) 2 meter FM club net held on the Denver area 147.225 Mhz 2 meter FM repeater. In the video I was using my Icom IC-2000H 2 meter FM transceiver with an indoor 1/2 wave J vertical antenna and running about 5 watts on the low power setting. The larger radio seen on my desk is a Grundig Satellit 800 portable (Kind of big for a portable receiver!) that I use for shortwave radio broadcast listening (SWL'ing) and to monitor the different HF amateur radio bands. I have no HF transmitting capabilities at the moment. The camera used for this video was a Sony DSC-H2 digital still camera in MPEG video mode. This video was taken with a Sony DSC-H2 digital still camera in MPEG movie mode.
