Ponch Satrio - Inner Ears Lesson Part 2 I think of the fretboard as a circle...what I mean is...I close my eyes, then I think about a water drop in a circle...I pick one note as the tonal center...and the next thing is, I try to sing another note to build an interval based on the center note, then start guessing with my heart where the notes are...and try to hit the fret and hear whether it is correct or not.. For example, I used to pick the notes on the 4th string...because it's really good to build the big stretching interval around it...if the note that I sing is a higher interval...automatically I guess it's on the higher area (3rd, 2nd and 1st strings), and it works vice versa whether you have horizontal, diagonal or vertical lines of interval shapes. Thanks ! www.poncosatrio.com Hello temen2 sorry gak banyak waktu kmren untuk bikin lesson2 karena sibuk ngurusin rekaman band, project serta recording materi solo album. Dikesempatan ini aku cuma mau share my signature licks sederhana dari ku, ini sifatnya lebih ke form dan hanya butuh 4 nada aja, jadi gak sampe pentatonic ha2, cuma kwart tonic. secara scale formula dia hanya terdiri dari 1 3b 4# 5 . Aku gak pernah mikir buat rumusin licks ini, sampe akhir2 baru sadar kalo ternyata banyak banget aku main licks ini di lagu2 ku atau di project2 recording atau pas jamming, sampe akhirnya temen satu band ada yg nanya, itu main apaan sih? nah baru gw mikir..apa ya tadi? ha2. Jadi dia punya kualitas tonalitas major and minor harmony, ini yg bikin licks ini unik, jadi walau chordnya minor atau major, ya tetep bisa di pake atau di aplikasikan, dom7 juga masih masuk. mungkin krn dikarenakan ada interval minor 3rd (3b) yg ngasih warna minor dan augmented 4th (4# ) yg memberikan kesan major scalish sound (lydian) Untuk nglatihnya bisa dengan 2 cara yaitu : 1. secara horizontal main octave ascending dan descending (scalingnya naik atau turun) ---------------------------11-12---------------------------- --------------------10-13--------13-10--------------------- ----------------8-9----------------------9-8---------------- ----------7-10-------------------------------10-7----------- -----6-7-------------------------------------------7-6------ - -5-8----------------------------------------------------8-5- - Note di senar 3 dan 2 formula scaling nya berubah menjadi 1 3b 4 (natural) 5, ini dikarenakan sebab kita mau tetep bermain dlm bentuk/form yg sama 2. secara vertical dgn 2 bentuk yg bisa di bolak balik.
