The Seekers - Georgy Girl-1968 From The Seekers farewell concert july 7 1968 in London. Georgy girl, one of their most loved songs and the very last one they ever sang together in the sixties. Some have asked special for this so here it is. "Georgy Girl"is composed by Jim Dale and Tom Springfield. This was the last song they sang at the farewell concert and after the lights and tv camera's were switched off Judith cried of relief in her dressing room. She was now free and could go ahead singing and performing the music she wanted to perform. Tags: The Seekers Georgy Girl 1968 |

The Seekers - I'll never find another you (1968) From The Seekers farewell concert July 7 1968 in London. The last time they sang this song as a group in the sixties. It was thought that this concert was lost for ever but a copy was found in Australia in 1997 Take a good look at these few old videos i have uploaded as they may soon be gone.Youtube will most likely delete these old videos and others uploaded videos. Many videos are disappearing daily. We will then see what their ratings will be.The record industry have cast their eyes on Youtube and found out that people like to sit and watch these low res/bad sound videos and cry a bit remembering times long gone. The record industry can't stand this and have started to demand the deleting of videos. But just in case..... http://www.livevideo.com/Proculled I hope these few videos give you good memories and can help to keep their songs and music alive. We can not let them be forgotten. I'll never find another you is composed by Tom Springfield and was recorded at Abbey Road studioes London november 4 1964. And by the way,Judith overslept and got late to the studio that day Tags: The Seekers I'll never find |

The Seekers - Colours Of My Life(1968) From The Seekers farewell concert in London July 7 1968.When breaking up that year they broke the hearts of their fans all over the world. But with their reunion in 1993 we took them to our hearts again and a starved public could again buy recordings with them and see them in concerts. We are very grateful for what they have given us these eleven reunion years they performed together. "Colours of my life" was composed in 1967 by Judith Durham and David Reilly Tags: Colours Of My Life The Seekers |

The Seekers - The Carnival Is Over.(1968) From their farewell concert in London July 7 1968."The carnival is over"And their carnival was really over. Not until 1993 did they get together again with Judith as a lead singer. They then more or less performed concerts together until 2004.But the years are moving on for all of us and they have retired for good now as a group after having their last tour ever summer of 2004.It's said, that their last ever concert was in Hong Kong fall of 2004.The only performing members of The Seekers now is Keith Potger and Judith Durham. But they will never be forgotten by us that love their music. Some news:Judith performed in Melbourne now december 1 and she will release a new CD sometime next year.(2008) Latest news:Judith performed a wonderful two hours concert with The Queensland Orchestra in Brisbane on June 28.It's reported that Judith was in glorious voice. Afterwards she talked to the fans and signed autographs. The lyrics for "The Carnival is over" was written by Tom Springfield and the melody is based on a old Russian folk song. Judith had to put up a real fight to get this song recorded as the boys rather would record another song called "Hummingbird" instead. But she got her will and it was recorded first time in 1965.At it's peak this single record was selling 92,000 copies a day in the UK.
