Reel Dogs' Music Video Contest! I've been looking for movie dog MV contests and haven't found any. So I've decided to do my own. Come one, come all! Good; video made from a feature film (Shiloh, Air Bud, Snow Dogs, Benji, Lassie, etc.) put to music. Bad; video of your own dog in the backyard/at an event. What counts as a dog movie? There are the obvious, such as above, then not so obvious; Legally Blonde 2, As Good As it Gets, Road Warrior, Snatch, The People Under the Stairs, Radio Flyer. Movies like this are fine as long as the dog is the main element of your video: If it's all about the dog, it's all good. Wolves? Sure. The Legend of Lobo, Never Cry Wolf, Blood and Chocolate, etc. Welcome. But: No animation. No footage from documentaries or photographs. And no TV show footage. Got to be movies! Best to keep the length around 2 to 4 minutes but if they're a little outside that it's okay, just so nothing is very short or crazy long. Winners will be notified after September 1st. NADAC Agility "Happiest Dog in Trial" She may not have won, but this dog quite possibly had the most cheerful run all day. This is what agility is, or should be, all about! I love this dog! Her guardians got in touch with me to tell me her full name is Sakari Kota of the Wauna Shore, meaning Sweet Kota of the Mighty Water. "Kota" is a 3-year-old, female, Husky mix. Primo the German Shepherd Dog in Bad Moon (1996) Primo plays Thor (along with stunt doubles) in the movie Bad Moon, based on Wayne Smith's novel originally titled "Thor." In the film it's up to Thor to save is family (Mariel Hemingway and Mason Gamble) from a werewolf (Michael Paré). Primo was a beautiful dog and by far the best actor in the film. Homeward Bound II (2): Lost in San Francisco - Where Are You Last of Disney's Incredible Journey trilogy. All of the Incredible Journey films have amazing animal work in them and this one in particular brings a diverse pack of dogs to the screen with incredible training. Besides the golden retriever and American bulldog, there is a kuvasz, boxer, bullmastiff, bluetick coonhound, Podengo Portugueso medio (the same breed that's in Soccer Dog and Zeus and Roxanne), Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever, and others, as well as many mixed breeds.
