Bo Diddley Tribute This is an extremely rare clip of Bo while performing at Ronnie Wood's South Beach nightclub in the 1990's. Bo made it clear that when he gave me the "eye" it was time to turn the camera off. He was very protective of his trademark and guarded his performances like a pitbull. He wanted to get paid. Can you blame him? I spent a day with him at his Archer, FL residence in the early 90's with Boyd Matson. Where those video tapes are is anybody's guess. Bo gave me a giant poster with him and Chuck Berry. He signed it and it adorns my home to this day. Here's a short clip of that performance. So long Bo. You put the Rock in Rock 'n Roll. As Bo told me one of his favorite lines from a fellow blues artist, "Bo, you don't know Diddley." Tags: bo diddley ellas mcdaniel blues chess |

The Razor's Edge, "Let's Call it a Day Girl" Originally from West Palm Beach, FL., The Ardells were probably the most popular bandstand band in South Florida in the 60's. Their trademark good looks, harmonies and falsettos reminded us of the 4 Seasons. They later became The American Beetles then changed their name to The Razor's Edge. "When The Battle Is Over" Delaney & Bonnie (Bramlett) A you tube exclusive. From the 1969 LP, "Accept No Substitute". This is the only film of D&B on you tube and the only music video they ever filmed for Electra records. Delaney & Bonnie first met Eric Clapton when the pair served as Blind Faith's opening act. Prior to their marriage and collaboration, Delaney had been a well-regarded LA session musician, and Bonnie had the distinction of being the only white Ikette, performing with the Ike and Tina Turner Revue. In later years, she turned to acting, appearing most notably on the TV shows "Fame" and "Roseanne", under her new name of Bonnie Sheridan. Good Lovin', The Rascals This clip originally was filmed at a teen club, THE WORLD in Miami, 1966. Silent film was shot so I tried as best I could to synch up whatever picture was available to the sound track. As rock history goes, these guys were monsters, with hit after hit. Dino Danelli was a one of a kind drummer. Felix was a white soul man with B3 chops and vocals second to none. Enjoy these youthful rockers at their best.
