Foundations (Martha/Ten) "Foundations" by Kate Nash // Martha/Ten (Doctor Who) This video is about the relationship between Martha and the Tenth Doctor, mainly during the third season of the Doctor Who (bits and pieces of seasons 2 and 4 were used as well). When I started making it, it was going to be a fun video, mostly, showing Ten as if he's this terrible "boyfriend" Martha can't get away from, but the vid kept getting more angsty as it was going. It's not really a bad thing, I guess, just something I wasn't anticipating. Still, there's lots of fun sequences in this. :) And just so you know how ironic things can get at times, I spent months trying to come up with ideas for videos, and nothing. Little Wonders (Dan in Real Life) "Little wonders" by Rob Thomas // Dan in Real Life It had been over two months since I last finished a vid and I was desperate to make another one. Any other one! So I set out to try and come up with absolutely ANYTHING. This is what I ended up with, and you know what? For a vid done in desperation with a song that has been used probably in every fandom countless times, I quite liked it! (it might have something to do with Carell being so cute in this movie, though) Story time aside, the vid itself is about the movie Dan in Real Life, more especifically about Dan's relationship with his three daughters, his brother Mitch, and Marie - Dan's crush and Mitch's girlfriend. I tried not to keep it too angsty, but show just how much Dan cares about both Mitch and Marie, and doesn't want to hurt any of them, even though he can't stop thinking about Marie. Hollow (House/Wilson) "Shattered" by Trading Yesterday // House&Wilson (House) [BEWARE OF SPOILERS FOR THE FINALE!!!] I wanted to make a new House vid right after I watched "House's Head". And after "Wilson's Heart", I just knew it had to be a House/Wilson vid (as usual with me, NON-SLASH, but you know... if you want to view it this way, I don't think I can stop you). Problem is, I could only find slow-paced songs that fit, so I had to face my issues with slow songs in this vid (I just can't work with them! I'm always so lost). However, I do think I did ok. Anyway, this vid is about what House and Wilson went through in the finale. Wilson was torn apart by what was happening with Amber, and House, while going through some tough time of his own with his memories, was there to do anything for his friend. Things took a turn for the worst, though, when Amber died and House was found to be somewhat linked to it, leaving him feeling guilty and miserable and scared that Wilson might not forgive him. ... Should she forget about Jack once and for all, or go back to him and start over again? OH the ANGST! Open Your Eyes (Ned/Chuck) "Open your eyes" by Snow Patrol // Ned/Chuck (Pushing Daisies) I KNOW that this song is overused and there's at least one shippy video to it on each fandom, but I just couldn't help myself, the lyrics fit Ned/Chuck WAY too well!!! I even liked my ending, which doesn't happen that often with my vids! I loved that the instrumental ending of the song allowed me to make that sequence with all of Ned and Chuck's scenes in order. Rewind (Sirius) "Rewind" by Stereophonics // Sirius Black (Harry Potter) I was really trying to keep my distance from HP vids after all the problems I've had with clip and vid theft in the past, but Pooky (my muse) just wouldn't have it! And, to tell the truth, I always knew I'd make a Sirius vid once I had Order of the Phoenix... I mean, he's just my favorite HP character of all and he's played by my favorite actor of all... *sigh* This had to be done one way or the other! In my head, this song would always be about a dead Sirius thinking whether he regrets his life or if he's proud of the things he's done. All The Way (Nine/Rose) "All the way / 4U" by Poets of the Fall // Ninth Doctor/Rose (Doctor Who) For some unknown reason, I've been obsessing with the Ninth Doctor quite a lot lately... And I was trying to find a song for him and Rose for a WHILE! So I'm very happy I finally managed to come up with something (HUGE thank you to Ana for rescuing me from my vidder's block and suggesting the song!!!!). This vid is a lot different from my first Doctor Who vid... The song is slower and the vid is shippy. And I'm not good with shippy vids OR slow songs, so this was quite a challenge! But it came along great (except for that ending... It just killed me!). And as for the video itself, it's told from Nine's POV, and it pretty much shows how his relationship with Rose evolved and everything they faced together... Read My Mind (Holmes/Watson) "Read my mind" by the Killers // Holmes/Watson (Sherlock Holmes) Sherlock Holmes has always been one of my top obsessions in life for years now, and when I found this series, I fell in love with it completely. Everything is true to the books, from the story to the characters (FINALLY, an intelligent Watson!), and one of the aspects that I loved the most about it was the way they showed the Holmes/Watson friendship. This is my tribute to what I consider to be one of the strongest friendships in fiction. And the development of it was quite interesting: at the first seconds, I considered it to be a general vid, by the first minute I thought it was quite focused on just Holmes, and by the last half Watson had become an essential part of it. Windmill, Windmill (House) "Feel good, inc" by Gorillaz // Gregory House (House) This was an interesting project to try... I was desperate to make a video about House, nothing was working, then I watched that scene in the first episode of season 3 where House shows up running and I thought "Hey! Maybe THIS song will work!"... And, to my surprise, it kinda did. Ok, so the lyrics don't really fit all that much, but what I did like about this song is that it let me use all kinds of different House character moments (funny, angsty, silly, romantic, angry...). And even the lyrics fit in a few moments, to my surprise! Anyway, this is a character vid of House. Period. And I hope you'll enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it. While there isn't much of an established story in this vid, it shows how similar Kate and Sayid really are, the good friends they've become on the island... And since their stormy/unresolved relationships with the other castaways (Jack, Sawyer, and Shannon, of course) aren't quite working out, it's time to try something new! :D The song fits both their POVs, but the vid is told mostly through Sayid's.
