R/C Plane with Wireless FPV Video, Lynn MA Flew the plane 100% from the video goggles view and managed to get a recording on my Aiptek Media Recorder. I am afraid to test the limits of distance for the wireless video and the radio control, but already I can fly much further away with FPV (first person view) than I would with line-of-sight control looking at the plane from the ground. First Recording with Wireless Video on R/C Plane I finally got set up with a wireless video system so I can see in real time the view from the plane, wearing video goggles, and fly the plane as though I was a pilot sitting in it. Then I had to find a way to record it. The wind was pretty strong and gusty so I didn't try any low passes, but apart from occasional interference everything works well. The loss of signal on landing was nothing catastrophic, the camera just rocked forwards and pulled out the cable when the plane hit the sand. R/C Plane Aerial Video Dead Stick Landing Over Water Flying off of Marblhead Neck in MA the plane was a couple of hundred yards off shore over the water when the power died. Thankfully I still had radio control of the rudder and elevator, but with a Pansonic Lumix strapped to the top of the plane it does not glide very well, and I was lucky to get it back in one piece. The sound is scratchy because of wind on the mic, but you can hear the motor cut at 0:20, and then the windspeed picking up as the plane starts diving.
