NIN "300" Fan Video I know there are around 1,000 or so fan videos for '300' here on Youtube, but I couldn't help but post my own. As with most of my work, it's dedicated to my brother and close friends, who got all trashed with me and went to see it in the theaters last March. Footage is from the Frank Miller graphic novel "300" as well as the 2007 motion picture of the same name. Music is by Nine Inch Nails. "Pinion" from the album Broken. "Just like you imagined" from the album Fragile(Left). "Complication" from the album Fragile(Right). "Self Destruction, Part Two from the album Further down the spiral. Halo 2: The Machinima Picture (19) With Spartan-117 on-board, the UNSC Frigate In Amber Clad survives the "New Mombasa Slip-space Event." They follow the fleeing Prophet of Regret while still unaware of his previous intentions above East Africa. The Chief's mission turns critical when the Prophet preaches that he is going to "...light this Holy Ring..." Halo 2: The Machinima Picture After making my game-collage-film for Halo, I acquired some new hardware that greatly benefited the production of my Halo 2 gamefilm. This new tool allowed me to separate the audio from the video and reinsert where needed. Now I could have Cortana telling you the important information about the game, and not have to show that "exact spot" where she tells you. So the creative options were massive. Again, just as the one I made last year for Halo 1, this game collage is all about 'story.' So you don't see every weapon used or every vehicle driven. This is not a video walk-through of the entire game, it is a two hour (as-close-to-a-movie-as-I-could-make-it) collage. Made for myself, my brother and my Halo clanmates. A few "creative liberties" I took this time around include using the "BLIND skull" (found on the level 'Outskirts') to remove the HUD. This makes for a more comfortable view than always looking through the Chief's visor. When I did show the Chief and the Arbiter in 1st person, I over-saturated the Chief's view and under-saturated the Arbiter's. In other words... the Chief has a cool new helmet so 'he sees brighter,' and the Arbiter has been shocked and branded so 'his eyesight is dimmer.' No matter how many times I reloaded the cinema for the Arbiter's branding, the spot where his helmet hits the floor wouldn't compose quick enough. The background would finally load just as the scene was changing. So I left the helmet-drop out. It took away from the 'seriousness' to see the helmet fall - then the background appear. Also, after viewing all 4 intros for the level "Metropolis", I chose the normal difficulty scene. Here Johnson says the Prophet of Regret's name and I felt like that keeps the story relative, not to mention plugging the alien invader. The "Another Day at the Beach" cinema scene was created while the map-guys at BUNGIE were designing the new Halo 2 multiplayer maps. I loved it as soon as I saw it, when I got my copy of the Multiplayer Map Pack disc. Halo 2: the Machinima Picture would not be complete without it, so I did my best to insert it in the proper spot. For those who may not know, I'm speaking about the cinema scene where Second Squad is shot down by the Scarab and encounter a cloaked Elite. That scene is not in the game itself. More on target with the way BUNGIE loves the number 7, I chose to only show the Arbiter activate 7 pistons. There are a total of 13 they make you go through in the game. "Fun with numbers." Last but not least, I did what some may deem... heresy... lol. I chose to mix-up the final cinema scenes and put them into a more (I feel) congruent order. I also outright stop one cinema scene to show one of my music-video style cuts, then we go back to finish the cinema. This time around, it only took me five weeks to complete, as opposed to the six or seven the first film took. I actually did 'more' in 'less' time, thanks to a number of factors. If any were wondering, "no" I can not sell or make more copies of this. I post it here on the Internet for the few fans who might care to watch. Enjoy. Halo 2: The Machinima Picture (24) The Chief has tagged along with the Prophet of Truth to Earth and left Cortana.1.0 back in the Covenant holy city High Charity. If Tartarus activates the Index, she will detonate In Amber Clad's core - thus destroying the city and the ring. Keyes, Johnson, the Arbiter, and a cast of Ultras and Zealots will see that doesn't happen. Knowledge is a powerful thing. Halo 2: The Machinima Picture (21) The Arbiter has been commanded to retrieve the Sacred Icon, also known as the Index - the key that fires the Halo ring. The "Great Journey" will begin once it is found, if only the Covenant truly knew what that meant. Halo 2: The Machinima Picture (16) New Mombasa, East African Protectorate. This is the setting for an intense clash between the dwindling Covenant attack forces and the Marines of the UNSC. Enjoy. Halo 2: The Machinima Picture (15) Spartan-117, adorning new Mark VI armor, stops the Covenant from destroying the Cairo. Will the High Prophet of Regret fair any better on the surface? Not if the UNSCDF can help it. Halo 2: The Machinima Picture After making my game-collage-film for Halo, I acquired some new hardware that greatly benefited the production of my Halo 2 gamefilm. "Fun with numbers." Halo 2: The Machinima Picture (14) The Covenant has found Earth. Equally surpising is the size of their small attack fleet. Regardless, they ain't comin' in our house without a fight! Halo 2: The Machinima Picture (13) October 20, 2552. Having failed to stop the "demon" from destroying their Sacred Ring, an example is made out of the Supreme Commander of the Fleet of Particular Justice. Meanwhile, this "demon" is awarded a medal by Lord Hood aboard the EDP Cairo, we call him the Master Chief. Mike Dillon's Go-Go Jungle Mike Dillon and company came by the Red Fox Tavern here in northern California, so naturally I had to cut some footage to a few of their tracks. Music is on the album "Battery Milk." Tags: mike dillon go-go jungle music battery milk jam live red fox performance bush |

The Transformers: The Compiled Data Tracks (18) After learning that Autobots on Cybertron have broken in to his secret storage area and stolen his plundered Energon, Megatron sends a contingent of Decepticons to capture the Cybertronian Autobot leader, Elita One. Can the Autobots hitch a ride on the Decepticon Space Bridge in time to save their captured friend? Or will Megatron stop the rescue attempt and have the last laugh on both planets... from the editor: When my brother and I watched the original show back in the 80's, we would tape the audio through the air into a mic atop our boombox. Then we would playback the tapes into the night as we played with our toys. When our stepdad wasn't home, we would chill downstairs and really tape the show on his "not to touch" oldskool 'moose' vhs. Now, after 23 years of watching and loving the Transformers, I decided it was about time to put my imagination into a collage-story, using clips from the original tv series. Using scenes from the first-half of Generation One, episodes 1-65 give or take, I have come up with a 2 hour and forty-five minute adventure that retells the classic battle for the Earth, in a fast-paced remix-style that I hope you enjoy half as much as I did making it. I still watch and will always love the many versions of the Transformers Universe. Animated, comic book, Hasbro toy line, Japanese series, the entire epic is close to my heart, er... Lazercore.
