NICK LUCAS - It's Been a Good Life "It's Been A Good Life" a song written by Nick Lucas (under the pen-name David Garvin). I took this from the original master tape. It can be heard, along with 14 other tracks, on the CD - - ROSE COLORED GLASSES, which contains some previously unreleased material of Nick Lucas. (Scheduled for release this year.) Nick used this song as the finale of his act. The song beautifully sums up his feelings about his life and career. He recorded it three years earlier as a single and that version can be heard on the CD - - FIRST AND LAST ACCENTS. I'd like to consider this lovely ballad his signature song instead of the more famous "Tiptoe Thru the Tulips" which he first introduced in the 1929 Warner Brothers musical The Gold Diggers of Broadway, which resulted in his biggest selling disc for Brunswick Records. I've added some photos in tribute to Nick. © Copyright 2008 Melody Man Records. All Rights Reserved.
