less than three Yeah rating disabled because 1.) quality is significantly less than what i like to produce. 2.) the video wasnt meant for you to rate. in this case only one person has to like it. :) When you don't know what to say..a picture is worth a thousand words. I don't expect everyone to get some of the photos in this collection, but assume that there was a reason i have pictures of a broken branch, etc etc. This video was for the purpose of making Bryan (my "costar") smile. Because my finger doesnt reach a thousand miles from michigan to california to push up the corners of his mouth myself. The Cure....is the cure. Im sorry for the poor quality, i had to compress it. the original has infinitely better quality but i just spent all of yesterday negotiating that with youtube.. Tags: love |

The Internet Has A Face (New Music) This video explores the human connections through video, and how video has changed or enhanced interactions on the internet. It was created for a digital ethnography class at kansas state but has lead to much more. it is the same as the last video, however the music has been changed (emergency music swap out). Moby probably wouldnt appreciate me using his music, even if in the name of academia! Tags: the internet has a face ksudigg kansas state university ksu digital ethnography att tech channel |

Authenticity on the Tube Draft video of how authenticity is determined on the tube. This video is a compilation of videos used to discuss authenticity on YouTube. LonelyGirl15 is an example of authenticity or lack thereof, as her vlogs helped shape how vloggers define authentic and inauthentic, despite the ability to create new identities, enviroments, and so forth. We are all creative producers with the ability to act to some degree and manipulate. However, how candid we are seems to reflect our authenticity. again, all videos are content from the users of this site. This is a draft, so feel free to comment, suggest, etc! Education, Privacy, and YouTube The idea of blackmail....and privacy from "important people". My videos have a few different audiences, which usually see different sides of me. these worlds collide on video presentations to not only the youtube community, but others.....does this mean no obscene jokes or gestures? gahh... After saying that, allow me to become a bit more professional. here is the link to the Chronicle of Education. Great website to see what projects are going on at different universities, showing the face of research. http://chronicle.com/ Tags: education privacy youtube ksudigg |

The Internet has a Face Collage of vlogger videos showing the humanity in YouTube. Draft version. I made this though inspiration of a few vloggers and vlog trends I have seen, including video responses, outtakes, humor, and the ability to open up on camera. Thank you to all who have graciously allowed their videos to be used. I am part of a team of researchers doing an ethnography of YouTube culture for a class at Kansas State University taught by Dr. Michael Wesch (mwesch). We are creating a video documentary of YouTube that will be posted to YouTube at the conclusion of our research. We will also be writing papers and giving conference presentations on this research. My take on the reality question Reality as a cultural construct. Is there an objective reality? is it all subjective? I try to answer my own question on whether YouTube produces reality...and FAIL to watch the time. my bad. Authenticity Close to my previous question...what are the hallmarks of authenticity? when does a video start to stray from it? I noticed my physical pose here does look a little staged, but ive been sitting like that for hours. it works out on that chair. somehow.
