SBCG4AP - Snake Boxer 5 (44 KOs) [Forbidden Mode] Hey... This game is pretty entertaining. I was messing around with Snake Boxer 5 with Forbidden Mode (cheat code entered on the title screen) that makes you a fire breathing cobra instead of a boxer. I wanted to see how high I could get, and jeez, I killed 44. Just to let you know, all snakes after knock out 20 can kill you instantly with one hit, and are absurdly fast. Starfox 64 - Sector Z (130 Hits) [New strategy discovered!] Yes, I've been messing with the super cus cheat on an emulator (the cheat can be seen in a video called "Starfox: Hack Attack"). http://youtube.com/watch?v=nJEqPYOs_2s I ran into Sector Z with this cheat, and noticed I got 999 hits... but no enemies were on screen. The screen would pour out HIT+3's, 2's, and 1's in strange places around the Great Fox. This meant that there were more points floating around somewhere in the level that were CUSable! But, I tried doing this again on separate runs, but couldn't replicate the 999 score. But, I did notice one very unique thing about this level: this is the only level that starts you off in 2 different spots. To the left of the Great Fox, and the Great Fox's front bay. Lo and behold, starting at the front bay yielded me the HIT+3's, 2's and 1's again! Now the only obstacle was, where the hell are they? I tried CUSing the Great Fox, the debris (thinking that maybe the cutscene assigned those to be CUSable), but it was none of the above. But then I got a crazy "what if..." idea. I thought "...no... it couldn't be". I killed Falco, switched the super CUS cheat on, and noticed I only got HIT+2's. I killed Peppy next, and gasp... HIT+1's. Finally Slippy, and no bonus points could be gotten anymore. This leads me to conclude that: ---------------------------------------- Your teammates are indeed CUS points if, and ONLY if, you do NOT skip the cutscene. ---------------------------------------- This is also true outside of emulation, as you can see in this video. Now, for suggestions on how to use this strategy, I'd probably kill off 1 or 2 of the teammates beforehand, but it's really all about preference. If you feel comfortable risking the missiles for more cus shots at your teammates, then go for it. But I really think this could mean the difference on making or breaking old Sector Z records. You can get plenty of CUS opportunities when your teammates are heading toward the missiles too, since they stay still for you, and still keep their distance (such as Falco in 1:17) This video also has a 130 Sector Z run with ALL teammates (very high medal), but I didn't implement the strategy too well, since I kept everyone alive mainly for demonstrations. Welp, I feel glad that I contributed to the highscoring community again (last time being me snooping around for the Japanese Aquas techniques). Enjoy, and good luck in Sector Z! Starfox 64 - Area 6 [657] So... what... this is like the 5th one of these I've thrown on youtube? I guess, this makes me a liar, and a hypocrite, considering I announced I stopped playing, and I'm starting up again... weak. I tried this run only recently with a new controller (has a good control stick), and I did better than thought I would. I tried Area 6 today (with too many goddamn lives), and this was the result. I don't even really know why I'm uploading this. Seems kinda pointless to me, but I already have the video done here so... whatever. Enjoy. Contra III: The Alien Wars (Ending on Hard) [VC] ...I did it. After many years of playing this game on my xbox (which is still broken), I decided to play this again on the Virtual Console. I started on Normal; plowed through that, and it starts you off on Hard (if you didn't know, it won't give you an ending until you beat it on hard). Long story short, I BARELY got to the very last boss, and barely killed it. This video is the real ending if you folks have never seen it. This is the first time I've ever beaten any Contra game completely. I can usually beat Contra games on Normal, or with life codes, but not enough to make me feel like I beat the game. Not to mention that NO SAVE STATES could have been used since it's the VC version (hence why I backed out of the game to show the Wii Menu in the video). I might upload a playthrough of this on Normal later. I don't think I could beat this game gracefully on Hard like I can on Normal. Mario Kart Wii - Galaxy Tournament UPDATE: Best time is now 14.489 seconds. Also, people seem to think I'm second in the worldwide rankings; I'm NOT. Perhaps I should have clicked the top 10 list in the video just to clarify that. I like these kinds of creative tournaments over ones where you just race. Also, I was pretty surprised to see a straight Galaxy themed course that you can't see elsewhere in the game; makes for a nice treat for participating. The time I got is alright, at 15 seconds, though I could have done better. I did this tournament thing without watching how other people did theirs on youtube, so don't go nuts saying "WHY DID YOU PICK THE BIKE?" if carts have more ramming power. Diddy Kong Racing - 48 Balloons? So, I tried going through old N64 games to see if I wanted to play through anything again, then I popped this game in. I remembered that I got all the balloons in both adventure 1 and 2, but my first file has 48 balloons instead of 47. I forgot which one was right, and it seems that 47 is the max. Does ANYONE know where I got this last balloon? I think something happened to my game to screw up the first file slightly. So... anyone got any ideas on this one? SSBB - Random WiFi matches #2 (Sudden Deaths) So, here's some more matches I've saved. The first 2 were from late March, and the last 2 were from yesterday. All of them have me in a sudden death, and I won all of them in this video. Sudden Death is pretty awesome, although I don't like the bombs too much, but whatever. Here's everyone in the matches: Match #1: Olimar (Me) vs. Wario / Snake / Kirby (???) Match #2: Link (Me) vs. Ike / Sonic / Captain Falcon (???) Match #3: Link (Me) Meta Knight / Lucas / Pit (???) Match #4: Olimar (Me) vs. Toon Link / Ike x2 (???) First match was cool. Not much else to say. Second match had a ridiculously short sudden death. My favorite one in this video. Third match was good, and now I know Link's bombs work great in sudden deaths. Last match, was a goddamn mess. TWO Ike's and a Toon Link. I really don't know how I was in the suddem death fight here, cause I have trouble fighting just one Ike with Olimar. I had to put up with TWO of them, and they're bastards. The sudden Death in this one was pretty good too. Also, excuse the shitty editing. I tried THREE TIMES, and it ALWAYS turned out wrong. I'd edit it, watch it while it was still in WMM, and see that there was NO REPLAY MENU AT ALL in the video. This was good cause I edited it that way, so I'd export it into a normal file, and it'd have the menu's in the goddamn video! Not only that, but there's ten seconds of nothing at the end of the video, for NO REASON! I didn't record 10 seconds of a black screen so, it came from the program, not me. Starfox 64 - Corneria [No Lock-On/CUS shots] This video is essentially how I used to play this game for scores. No lock on shots, no CUSing, just lasers and bombs. I'm fairly sure that this score is essentially a perfect non-charge-shot score. Every enemy on screen was killed, and no charges were used. 94 is the perfect checkpoint, and 100 seems to be the best score to get after the checkpoint. The only way to get more points than this in this fashion, is to get lucky, and have that bomb kill more enemies than it did at 2:54. Yeah, I'm aware that I haven't uploaded anything high score related in several months, and I'll probably keep it that way. High scoring with CUS shots have been really annoying to me recently. My interest with scoring that way is pretty much diminished. Many new players have perfected everything that's been discovered previously by players before them. Anything I could upload, someone else could upload an even more entertaining version of it. So, with this video, I will announce that I will highscore no more in this game (in the traditional sense). I don't care about my position in rankings anymore. Sorry it had to come to this everyone. I've thought about it for the past few months. SSBB: Cut WiFi matches with TheNewerGuy I actually almost forgot to upload these. I was going to do it last week, but I got caught up in midterms and such. I set aside a day 2 weeks ago to play 7 rounds of Brawl with TheNewerGuy. I had him upload the bulk of the matches (5 of them) since he has a director's account from before 2007. These are the 2 other matches I had with him that day. This'll be a video response to that video if anyone didn't see that video yet either (it should be the first related video below the description, too). These two were cut from the big video for these reasons: 1. 1st fight ended with a suicide spike. This was also the very first match we had that day anyways, so we just re-did it with the same characters/place. That match is in the other video though. 2. 2nd match was really laggy (although so was the Lylat Cruise match). I also recovered late all 3 times and got caught under that weird wedge that this new Final Destination has. Oh well. For not even owning Brawl himself, he was very challenging to play against, and he put up some extremely good fights. I'd really like to play against him again someday; whenever he's able to get a hold of another Wii with a copy of Brawl that is. Tags: Super Smash Bros.
