| Wyclef Jean on The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos Wyclef Jean didn't have a typical rise to fame. Born in Haiti, Wyclef grew up in extreme poverty, often with little food and without shoes. His family moved to Brooklyn, then New Jersey, where Jean studied the guitar and jazz in highschool. Eventually, he hooked up with Lauryn Hill, formed the Fugees, and the rest is history. Jean is releasing his new album: 'The Carnival II: Memoirs of an Immigrant' on December 4th. Tags: Wyclef Jean The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos Fugees Hip Hop rap r&b |
