| ASC: 2007 Merillat Gliders & Soaring Every year Adrian Soaring Club flies several of it's gliders from our base at Lenawee Airport (ADG), over to Merillat Airport (34G) for one last day of great Fall soaring. The November fall colors in Michigan are a great time to be in the air, and guest flights really enjoy it. Merillat is a small grass strip just NE of Adrian Michigan and hosts a great group of flying enthusiasts & friendly neighbors. It gives our members & students in ASC the chance to experience finding and flying out of a new airport. Guests really enjoy it too with some fall food, cider, and great pictures. This just shows some of the many tows and guest flights we did in our clubs AS K-13, K-21, and L-23 Super Blanik which made the cover of Soaring magazine in March 2006! There are also a couple of interesting local aircraft for you to ID. It wrapped up a great year for ASC with nearly 1000 tows, several new students, and over 120 new guests in our 74th year! Thanks again to the Merillats for letting us spend the day, and to all of our guests during the season. See you in 2008 for our 75th year! There are plenty of still pictures from all of our seasons on our site below! http://www.localhangar.com/adriansoaringclub Tags: gliders gliding soaring flying Piper Pawnee airport aircraft Blanik K-21 K-13 aerotow sailplane segelflug segelfliegen golf |
