| Durers Magic Sqaure on The Bank of England The City of London is full of esoteric and masonic symbols. I take a walk from the Embankment where Cleopatra's Needle (satan dick). Through the Temple and the Templar's Church. Always thought it was strange lot's of overpaid lawyers hanging out in a temple. Then out on to Fleet Street(the one time street of shame) where I am confronted by a bloody great dragon, there are lot's more Dragons along the route past St Pauls Cathedral and onto to the Bank of England. The area around the bank is a mecca for Esoteric symbols, Hermes and his sign, Caduceous are every where. All over the royal Exchange and the bank of England. *Caduceous is usually a polished knobbed rod entwined by two snakes. It is often winged, as was Mercury. The caduceous is at times mistakenly used (even by medical associations) as the symbol of medicine and healing. In reality it has always been the symbol of merchants, thieves and alchemy. Pharmaceutical companies and some medical military services have adopted the caduceous /Caduceus whose relationship with medicine has always had more to do with medicating than healing. One who deals with Caduceous is a client. So merchants and thieves, bankers would seem to fit the bill well. On a building in front of the royal Exchange I found Durers Magic Square, the planetary sigil for Jupiter.
